Mid-Atlantic ADVmoto was founded by two lifelong riders, veterans, and friends who share a deep passion for adventure motorcycling and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Jason

Jason’s motorcycle journey began at the age of eight, and over more than 40 years of riding he has owned and ridden over 20 motorcycles across nearly every off-road discipline. His experience spans dual sport, enduro, moto trials, and modern adventure motorcycles. Along the way, Jason has helped coordinate riding clinics for moto trials riders and developed a reputation for thoughtful instruction and attention to detail.

Today, Jason’s passion is adventure motorcycling—riding multi-day routes like the Backcountry Discovery Routes and exploring local forest and trail systems throughout Harford County, Maryland. He finds the greatest reward in helping others experience the freedom, challenge, and exhilaration that adventure riding offers.

Jason recently retired from the U.S. Army after more than 23 years of active-duty service. During his career, he served as an M1A1 Abrams tank commander, deployed twice to Iraq, and commanded an armor company in combat. The planning, discipline, and risk management skills he developed through military service now translate directly into designing well-organized, safe, and memorable guided adventure tours.

Anthony

Anthony also grew up riding dirt bikes from a young age and carried that love of two wheels throughout his life. Like Jason, he recently retired after more than 20 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Army.

Anthony served as an Army Apache helicopter pilot, flying combat missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He later became a maintenance test pilot, responsible for evaluating aircraft performance and ensuring safety and reliability. His background brings a strong focus on situational awareness, decision-making, and mechanical understanding—skills that are invaluable when leading riders through remote terrain on multi-day adventure routes.

Anthony’s goal is to help riders build confidence, expand their capabilities, and enjoy the adventure knowing they are supported by experienced leadership every step of the way.

Our Two Wheeled Journey…

Jason and Anthony first met as college roommates in the mid-1990s, long before either joined the Army. After separate military careers, they reconnected shortly after retiring and quickly returned to riding together—logging miles on multiple Backcountry Discovery Routes and regional adventure rides.

Those rides rekindled a shared vision: to create a guided adventure touring company that blends real-world riding experience, professional-level planning, and a genuine love for exploration. Mid-Atlantic ADVmoto was born from that vision.
